A Taste of Quest offers a dose of true adventure in Yosemite National Park. This one week Quest is perfect for anyone who has never been to Camp Tawonga before or who wants to try something new after experiencing summer at Camp.
Campers will spend the entire trip in glorious Yosemite, backpacking, hiking, relaxing at the campground and bonding with fellow Questers (see itinerary below).
A Taste of Quest participants will spend three days and two nights backpacking in Yosemite – a life-changing opportunity to immerse in nature and bond with fellow Questers. The hike is typically four to six miles each way, and our talented and highly trained wilderness staff make sure all participants have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Sample Itinerary

| Sunday | Drive to Yosemite, set up camp and get to know the group around the campfire. |
| Monday | Day hike to amazing views in the park. |
| Tuesday | The three-day, two-night backpacking trip is the highlight of this program. Camp Tawonga will provide backpacks and all group gear. You need to supply two, 1 liter-sized water bottles and a warm sleeping bag (rated for 15-25 degrees is best). Our well-trained staff is prepared to make this a fun and safe experience for the whole group. |
| Wednesday | The backpacking trip continues with a fun day of swimming and relaxing or climbing to a nearby peak. |
| Thursday | Head out of the backcountry and celebrate with a final banquet! Roast s’mores around the campfire and spend a final night under the stars in Yosemite. |
| Friday | Say “see you again” to new friends and head back to the San Francisco Bay Area, where it all began. |
