Your generosity can sustain the magic of Tawonga up and down the mountain – from celebrating the joys of Judaism to forging loving friendships and connecting with nature. There are so many ways to give to Tawonga. Read below to learn about various ways to designate your giving.
Annual Campaign – General Fund
Your gift to the Annual Campaign helps Tawonga meet our three ongoing needs: providing financial assistance to hundreds of children and families with economic constraints, maintaining excellent programming and staffing and ensuring that capital improvements are made to buildings and grounds – providing a safe, comfortable and beautiful haven for children and families.
Campership Fund
A child’s experience at Camp Tawonga could be the only Jewish experience they receive all year. We allocate over $1,000,000 in financial aid each year, so that no child is denied an opportunity to experience the magic of Tawonga. With a gift to our Campership Fund, you are investing in the future of our Jewish community and enhancing the life of a deserving child. Your support makes all the difference.
Capital Fund
Please call us to learn more about specific upcoming capital projects, the upkeep of our facility on the Tuolumne River and how your donation can make a significant impact.
Endowment Fund
An endowment gift supports programs and services far into the future. You choose what aspect of Camp you would like to endow, such as camperships, capital projects, programs or a staff position, and you choose in whose name it will be remembered. Only the interest generated by the fund will be spent each year, and only for the purpose you specify. Start your own Endowment Fund with a minimum gift of $50,000. Or make a tribute gift in honor or in memory of someone, and direct it toward an existing endowment fund.
Named Endowed Camperships
To achieve our goal of making Camp accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay, it is essential that we provide increased Campership Funds during these difficult economic times and long into the future. Endowed Campership Funds will provide this resource in perpetuity, similar to an endowed academic scholarship.
Named Endowed Staff Positions
We have established twenty “Endowed Staff Positions for Summer Camp Programs.” We will hold the principal of these gifts in a restricted endowment fund forever, using only the interest each year to pay for the indicated summer staff positions.
Naming opportunities include the following staff positions:
Arts
Drama
Israel Programing
Jewish Education
Medical Practitioner
Music
Nature
Therapist
Sports
Waterfront
Wilderness
